Wood for energy recovery
We continuously develop solutions to increase the share of materials that remain in the loop, but not all wood is of high enough quality for recycling. Lower-grade wood is therefore used as an input in energy production, replacing fossil fuels.
NG Downstream handles large annual volumes of wood from municipal and private waste facilities. The wood is shredded, screened, and separated using magnetic and eddy current separation to deliver a high-quality product tailored to each off-takers' preferences. We offer solutions for:

Pressure-treated wood
Pressure-treated wood is classified as hazardous waste and must be removed from the loop. NG Downstream supplies large volumes to incineration facilities across Europe that ensure reliable and environmentally sound handling.
Through our extensive network of logistics partners, we secure optimal logistics solutions by rail, road, or sea.
We offer solutions for:
- CCA-treated wood
- Creosote-treated wood
- Cu-treated wood
